Newsletter Editor Procedures and Responsibilities
A. The newsletter should be taken to Envision Credit Union for printing two weeks before the meeting of the Board.
B. Encourage all chairpersons to submit articles. Submission of articles should be sent via email, if at all possible.
C. The President’s message will be submitted by the President and should include a brief recall of the previous meeting and a description of the up-coming meeting.
D. A detailed description of the next meeting should be included and should be prepared by the person who will introduce the program.
E. A copy of the Treasurer’s Report should be included and be prepared by the Treasurer.
F. The Web Address should be included in each newsletter.
G. Try to include anything humorous, seasonal. The membership has responded positively to recipes and it is generally felt that each newsletter should include at least one recipe.

Requirements for honoring LWREA members in the monthly newsletter:

  1. Candidate has given time and effort beyond what is normally expected of a member.
  2. Candidate has performed in a duty or assignment for three years or more.
  3. Through these assignments or duties, the candidate has helped make the meetings more enjoyable and educational for the members.


Suggestions to consider for honoring:

  1. Long-time Committee Chairperson and/or Officer
  2. Music leaders
  3. Sign-in desk clerk
  4. Supervisor of food
  5. Presidents following the year served
  6. Secretary
  7. Newsletter Editor
  8. Has attended 100% of General Meetings
